E-Permits
The City uses a digital e-permit system to manage parking. This page provides information about how to enhance your experience with the e-permit system to ensure the process is seamless.
If you are accessing the system for the first time and would like information about registering for e-permits, please click here.
If at any time you would like to talk to someone about e-permits, please contact the Compliance Services team on 9237 9222 or via email on complianceservices@subiaco.wa.gov.au. You can also view a playlist of e-permit video tutorials via this link.
Please note that parking is free and unrestricted:
- After 5pm on weekdays
- All day on weekends in the majority of the City's streets.
You may not need a parking permit if you park on the streets outside normal weekday working hours.
Using the e-permit system on a mobile device or tablet
If you intend to access the e-permit system regularly, you should consider adding the page to the home screen of your smartphone or tablet.
To do this, please click the video links below to follow a video tutorial.
Managing approved permits
There are several different e-permits available, and each one serves a different purpose. Once an e-permit has been approved and issued, they will need to be reviewed periodically depending on the type of permit issued. Each permit has been listed below with information around the management required.
Once your Residential Parking Permit(s) is approved, you will need to select which of your vehicles the permit will be used for, via your e-permits account.
Once selected, Residential Parking Permits are a 'set and forget' product which is valid for their location until the date of their expiry.
You can also switch what vehicle your Residential Parking Permit belongs to. To find out how to do this, watch this short tutorial video.
Visitor Parking Permits are valid for 24 hours from the time the resident activates the permit; can be swapped between visitors' vehicles as needed; and can even be pre-booked for future visitors to the house.
Prior to the expiry of your permit session, you will receive an email from the City advising of this.
We have prepared some videos to help you organise a Visitor Parking Permit.
If you are expecting multiple visitors to the property at the same time, you are required to apply for Temporary Parking Permits.
Each permit holder can apply for up to 20 Temporary Parking Permits each calendar year. These permits are valid for 24 hours.
Additional Temporary Parking Permits beyond the 20 annual allocations can be purchased at $6 each.
At the beginning of each year, you may reapply for your annual 20 Temporary Parking Permits.
Temporary Parking Permits are not transferable if not used within the calendar year.
