Footpaths
Footpaths promote the City's sustainable lifestyle and help residents and visitors access the City safely.
The City’s footpaths are assessed on their condition, history of repairs, frequency of use, proximity to pedestrian attractions, existing utility services in the road reserve, community needs – such as nursing homes, hospitals and schools – and whether the street has single or parallel footpaths.
The City’s footpath improvement program prioritises footpaths connecting the city centre to community facilities, such as hospitals, schools and retirement facilities, and to local community centres and cycle paths.
To report footpath damages complete this online form, or for more information on footpaths or proposed footpath improvements, please contact the City at (08) 9237 9222.
