While restoration works take place at the Subiaco Library (E H Parker Library), the Subiaco Pop-up Library has opened at 241 Rokeby Road to provide continued services to patrons.
The pop-up library contains a large selection from the library’s existing collection, as well as a dedicated children’s library, ample seating with magazines and papers, study spaces, and a bookable meeting room similar to The Nook.
The library team will also continue to run library events, including children’s storytimes and author talks, within the pop-up library. Select events will take place in Rankin Gardens (outside of the pop-up library), and on the garden outside Subiaco Museum, just next door.

Mayor David McMullen said, “Hundreds of thousands of community members have visited the Subiaco Library (E H Parker Library) since its construction in 1971, and this restoration project will provide much needed improvements and enhancements to this iconic Subiaco landmark.
“We know this project will preserve this beloved building for many generations to come – and in the meantime, we encourage the community to enjoy continued library services at the Subiaco Pop-up Library.”
Opening hours at the Subiaco Pop-up Library will remain the same as the Subiaco Library (E H Parker Library).
Some services, including printing, public computer access and WiFi will not be available at the pop-up library -
this document contains a list of nearby buildings who can provide these services.
Books can be returned to the pop-up library during opening hours only. There is no access to a 24/7 returns chute.
