Cats
The City promotes responsible pet ownership, ensuring that all cats within the City of Subiaco are registered, microchipped and sterilised, in line with the Cat Act 2011.
Owners are encouraged to ensure that their cats are confined to their property and not wandering. This promotes better health outcomes for cats and prevents them from harming wildlife or causing a nuisance to neighbours.
A limit of three cats can be kept at a property.
Registration and Renewal
All cats aged six months and over must be registered with your local government.
To register your cat, please complete the online animal registration.
When completing the online registration you will need to upload the necessary documents, such as proof of microchipping and proof of sterilisation.
If you are unable to complete the online registration, please complete the City’s cat registration form and return this to the City with all supporting documents included.
Your cat’s registration can now be renewed on-line.
To complete your renewal please provide your cat’s Animal ID number and the family name of the registered owner. This information can be found on your cat’s Certificate of Registration issued by the City or the renewal letter you have received.
If your cat’s details have changed, please notify the City to allow the registration to be correctly renewed.
Pensioners are eligible for 50 per cent off the fees on producing their current Pensioners Concession Card or State Concession Card.
