The city offers a variety of community grants designed to support innovative cultural and community activities. Individuals, community-based organisations and local groups that enhance the provision of programs, services and support to the Subiaco community are encouraged to apply.

Community Development Grants

The City of Subiaco supports projects and activities that promote wellbeing and a sense of belonging to Subiaco’s community by funding not for profit community organisations and groups via the community development grants program.  Funding of up to $5000 is available for not for profit incorporated organisations and up to $1000 for not for profit unincorporated organisations and groups. Not for profit unincorporated organisations and groups can apply for a grant of up to $5000 providing they are under the auspices of an incorporated organisation. 

There are no remaining funding rounds in 2018. In 2019 there will be funding rounds with the closing date for each round as follows;

  • 4pm, Tuesday 19 March 2019
  • 4pm, Tuesday 2 July 2019
  • 4pm, Tuesday 24 September 2019

Successful Community Development Grants

Community Panel Member

The City of Subiaco is looking for a community representative to join the Community Development Grant panel for the next round of grants. The grant panel discusses the applications received and chooses the successful applications.
If you are interested in events and activities within our community, and would like to be involved in the decision-making process, please complete the expression of interest form and email it to The panel meets within the month after each grant round closes.  

Neighbour Day Grant

Do you want to know your neighbours better, but never had the opportunity? Well now you do.

What is Neighbour Day?

Neighbour Day occurs annually on the last Sunday of March each year and aims to foster strong connections and build better relationships within our local community.

Social connection can improve health and wellbeing outcomes as it helps prevent loneliness, isolation and depression, and most importantly feels good.

Neighbour Day Grants 2019

The city is celebrating Neighbour Day 2019 with small grants of up to $100 for residents and local community groups to assist in hosting an event. The event can be anything from a BBQ to morning or afternoon tea, as long as it provides an environment for neighbours to meet and connect with each other.

Applications are open between Friday 2 February and close at 4pm on Monday 26 February, via the city’s website.

Host help packs

If your grant application is successful, the city will provide you with some resources to assist the smooth running of your Neighbour Day Event. These resources include, but are not limited to:

  • Event management check lists
  • Food health and safety
  • Invites, promotional signs and name tag templates.
