Urban Road Safety Program

As part of the 2024/25 Capital Works Program, the City is proposing to undertake road safety improvements in the Subiaco Station and Subi East precincts with the aim to reduce vehicle speed to create a safer environment for all road users. 

These two projects are fully funded under the Urban Road Safety Program (URSP) by Main Roads WA to improve road safety.

Project Objectives 

- Reduce vehicle speed within precincts to 40km/hour (from 50km/hour)
- Implement various traffic calming treatments
- Create safer, more welcoming streets where people are more likely to ride and walk

Project Timeline
