The City is hosting a range of free activities throughout the week from 12 to 19 November, in honour of Seniors Week.
WA Seniors Week is an annual event that encourages people of all ages to acknowledge and celebrate the contributions of older people in the WA community.
City events this year include an
insider’s look at the Subiaco Men’s Shed, an afternoon of
bingo fun with light refreshments, and a
high tea in the beautiful surrounds of Rankin Gardens (now sold out).
Dance instructor Dan is also putting on a
free Move Fit Dance Class to celebrate the week (usually $10) so you can meet like-minded people while having fun at this low-impact dance-based fitness class at Shenton Park Community Centre.
While these special events are on for WA Seniors Week only, the City supports its older community members throughout the year a number of ways.
There are regular coffee club catch-ups at local cafes, Museum Morning events which explore Subiaco Museum’s vast collection, over 55 exercise classes, digital education series at the library, Yarn Club, a board game club, and more.
