A sense of place. A story to tell. A city to discover.
Secrets of 6008 is a portrait exhibition and interview series that celebrates the people, places, and untold stories of Subiaco.
Captured by renowned Subiaco photographer, Robert Firth, the exhibition features a handful of locals who have helped shape Subiaco and make it what it is today.
Featured people include:
- Chef Hideki Hayashi – chef and owner of Subi culinary institution, Zen Japanese
- Will Schofield – former West Coast Eagles half-back, turned business man and entrepreneur
- Tom Murrell – avid local historian, public speaking connoisseur and prolific author
- Kim Knight – general manager of the iconic Regal Theatre
Subiaco Mayor David McMullen encouraged everyone to go along and view the exhibition – whether in-person or online.
“People are a large part of what makes Subiaco who we are,” he said.
“The stories told in Secrets of 6008 about some local personalities are great to read, and the photography really captures these people in a raw, honest kind of way. I encourage everyone to explore the exhibition – Robert Firth has done an amazing job.”
The exhibition is on now at
Subiaco Library until Friday 11 March 2022 and is also available to view
online on the See Subiaco website.
