The City values providing diverse and quality play experiences for the community, which is why four local playgrounds are set for an upgrade – and you’re invited to help shape their renewal.
Hickey Avenue Park in Daglish, McCallum Avenue Park in Daglish, Park Street minipark in Subiaco, and Redfern Street minipark in Subiaco are ready for a renewal and the City is after input and guidance from the community. Available budget, site constraints and the City’s Playspace Strategy will also be considerations.
The City listens to community which is why this project has a two-part consultation process, starting with an online survey exploring how these parks are used.
This feedback will be provided to the playground designers to incorporate into their proposals before Stage Two consultation in which community gets to vote for their preferred design.
By taking part in Stage One of consultation, you will join the community group who will be consulted during Stage Two of the consultation process.
In the City’s recent Community Scorecard results, playgrounds, parks and reserves were rated as an industry high but also a priority for the community, with community driven actions such as ‘provide a wide range of modern equipment in playgrounds that appeals to a variety of ages’.

The online survey closes 5pm Monday 2 October 2023.
