Calling all photography enthusiasts! The City of Subiaco is excited to announce the launch of our 2024 Photographic Awards.
With over $5000 in cash prizes up for grabs, this year's competition promises to be the most captivating yet.
Photographers of all skill levels aged six years and older living in the Perth metropolitan area are invited to participate in this prestigious event. Whether you're a seasoned professional, an amateur enthusiast – or simply enjoy capturing moments on your mobile phone – there's a category for everyone.
Plus, this year the City has launched a special category for AI-generated images.
Mayor David McMullen said, "The City's Photographic Awards celebrate the artistic spirit of our community and never fail to amaze with the remarkable talent on display.
“I encourage all aspiring photographers to seize this opportunity and share their unique perspectives with us."
The 2024 Awards will feature four distinct categories: Subiaco Category, Open Category, Mobile Phone Category and the new AI Category.
Photographers can submit three photographs into the awards, either into the same category or into different categories.
The $5000 prize pool will be distributed as follows:
Grand Prize: $1500
Subiaco Category Prize: $1000
Open Category Prize: $700
Mobile Phone Category Prize: $700
AI Category Prize: $700
Subiaco Resident's Prize: $400
Youth Prize (Ages 12 to 17 years): $250
Kids' Prize (Ages 6 to 11 years): Book and photograph prize pack valued at $150
People's Choice Award: $100 (awarded after exhibition closes)
Entries for the 2024 Photographic Awards will be accepted from
Monday 6 May to Sunday 23 June. All finalists' works will be exhibited at Subiaco Library from
Monday 12 August.
