The City of Subiaco has been re-endorsed as a Gold Waterwise Council for 2024, as part of the Water Corporation’s Waterwise Council Program.
This is the 13th year that the City of Subiaco has been a Waterwise Council, and the 7th year it has achieved Gold status.
One of the most prominent initiatives that has contributed to this Waterwise status is the City’s Waterwise Verge Rebate Program, which offers residents rebates of up to $500, plus free workshops with gardening experts, to help residents replace their verge with native, waterwise plants.
Applications for the 2024 Waterwise Verge Rebate Program are now open via this link.
Mayor David McMullen said re-endorsement as a Gold Waterwise Council affirms the City’s commitment to sustainability.
“Our Gold status as a Waterwise Council means we are championing sustainable water management practices; in particular, through initiatives like the City’s education and rebate programs that encourage residents to adopt sustainable and waterwise habits.
It is all a part of keeping sustainability at the forefront of everything we do.”
