WA Youth Week is right around the corner, and to celebrate, the City of Subiaco is presenting three fun, free events for young people aged between 15 and 25.
From a basketball tournament at Lords to a silent disco and creative art workshops, there's something for everyone in these free events:
Art in April with Tyrown Waigana
Join Tyrown Waigana, an incredible Indigenous artist of sculpture, fine art, graphic design and illustration, for a free art workshop where you'll learn about character work, and how to draw a character into different angles and poses. This workshop is perfect for any artistic project, including graphic novels, multimedia art, and sculptures.
Basketball competition
Get a team together (or meet your team-mates on the day) at this free basketball competition on the courts at Lords. The games will be split into two categories: 15 to 17-year-olds, and 18 to 25-year-olds. Free lunch and other refreshments will be provided, and the top two teams will win prizes!
Silent disco
Celebrate the end of Youth Week with a silent disco and giant lawn games! This event is open to people aged 12 to 18.
