There’s Christmas fun for the whole family in the City of Subiaco whether you’re picking up unique gifts, lunching with the work crew to celebrate a year well done, writing letters to Santa, or grabbing a festive cocktail (or two).
Head to Subiaco Pop-up Library from Monday 27 November to post your
Santa letters and get a response from the North Pole every Tuesday (final delivery 22 December). Don’t forget to include your wish list and ask Santa any questions, like what his favourite cookie flavour is!
The library will also be running daily
drop-in Christmas activities for the kids from Monday 18 to Friday 22 December. There will be cards, colouring in, crafts and more for the family to enjoy together.
The
Subiaco Twilight Trail will be here to explore, with a brand-new golden tree outside the recently opened Subiaco Continental along with five other large-scale light installations within walking distance. Marvel at the twinkling lights, grab a picture with the family, and then head to one of the newly-opened venues or old favourites in the area for a delicious dinner.
The
Subi Night Market will be on all festive season (and beyond!) and is the perfect spot to have a bit of down time under the setting sun to ease the bustle of the silly season.
See Subiaco’s self-guided
Christmas Cocktail Trail will be kicking off from Friday 1 December so you can toast to the season at some of favourite local haunts including Bark, Lums, Storehouse, Bar Amelie, Dilly Dally and Bar Banter.
Merry Moments is back on Saturday 25 November, Saturday 9 December and Saturday 23 December from 10am to 1pm at Postal Walk. The family-friendly program features Freedom Fairies, free face painting, bubbles, craft and carols.
The City’s
sunset@subi free outdoor concerts are here for another season, kicking off with a Christmas special on Sunday 17 December at Lake Jualbup from 6pm to 8pm. Grab a picnic blanket and a takeaway, and enjoy this special musical treat – complete with an appearance from Santa himself.
And if unique gifts are on the cards, the City has a huge number of retailers – many of which are independent businesses – that can help you complete your
Christmas shopping on your local high street this December. Even better, many of them are within walking distance of some great bars, cafés and bakeries so you can refuel afterwards.
