Christmas is coming early for the gym at Lords Recreation Centre with new cutting-edge strength equipment arriving later this month.
Some of the current equipment is more than 25 years old so the new gear – by Technogym – is a welcome addition to the popular Subiaco gym.
Technogym is well-known for being at the forefront of indoor exercise equipment and was the official supplier for a number of Olympic Games, including Toyko 2020.
Mayor David McMullen said members were very excited about the new equipment, which included everything from kettlebells and barbells to squat racks and sleds.
“Lords already has a fantastic offering including our sports courts, pool, café and crèche, but now we’ll also have a great new gym for our members with the latest fitness equipment,” he said.
“The new strength equipment will mean Lords continues to be a leading fitness destination for our community – and it’s all happening just in time for the New Year if getting fitter is in your 2022 plans.”
Among the new arrivals will be the Kinesis Wall – an innovative functional training machine that allows you to undertake hundreds of exercises to challenge strength, flexibility, coordination and balance.
Lords gym will be closed from Thursday 16 December to Sunday 19 December (reopening Monday 20 December) for the install of the new equipment.
