The City of Subiaco’s FOGO waste service will commence in May 2023. To ensure the community is well-informed and updated about the changes this will involve, the City will be hosting a variety of interactive sessions over the next few months, including:
- Information sessions which include Q&As so residents can submit questions for panellists,
- A pop-up stall at Subi Farmers’ Market where residents can talk with City staff and representatives from the West Metro Recycling Centre (WMRC) about FOGO, play interactive FOGO games, and pick up FOGO merchandise, and
- Casual drop-in sessions at Subiaco Library where residents can talk directly with a City staff member, and ask specific questions they have about the FOGO waste service.
Mayor David McMullen said, “The City’s transition to FOGO will have a positive impact on our natural environment, but in order to divert as much waste from landfill as possible, the FOGO system depends on waste being sorted as accurately as possible.
“These sessions provide a chance for our community to ask any questions they may have directly to City staff and waste professionals, to ensure Subiaco’s FOGO roll-out runs as smoothly and effectively as possible.”
The following dates have been confirmed for the information sessions, drop-in sessions, and Subi Farmers’ Market stalls.
