Join award-winning author-illustrator Sean E Avery as he demonstrates the painting and collage techniques he uses to create the illustrations for his best-selling picture books. Using one of his latest books, Frank's Red Hat, as inspiration, he will guide young artists through the process of creating a snowy, Antarctic landscape filled with natural textures in this exciting, hands-on workshop.

PLEASE NOTE: - this is a messy activity, those attending need to be wearing paint appropriate clothes.

Art in April is a School Holiday program aimed to develop and foster young artists before the opening of the Shaun Tan Award for Young Artists.

Subiaco library runs a free school holiday program for school children aged six and up. An adult must accompany children, and remain within the library, during all activities.

Subiaco Library has limited parking bays available at the rear of the building including two accessible parking bays. For more information on getting around Subiaco visit the city’s website.
