Giant fun in Subiaco

Have you heard? A beautiful wooden Giant has been spotted right here in Subiaco!

The Giant, named Bille Bob, is part of an Australian-first exhibition by world-renowned Danish artist Thomas Dambo called the Giants of Mandurah.

Both an artist and environmental activist, Dambo’s artistic practice celebrates the diversity, beauty and importance of the natural world, using recycled and locally sourced materials in his creations.

The exhibition features a number of Dambo’s whimsical wooden creatures installed in secret locations throughout the City of Mandurah, plus one in Subiaco, who is a little lost, for visitors to discover. For information on finding the giants, and to download your own Travellers' Companion guide, visit this link. Subiaco Library are also running a few giant-themed events, which you can book here

Mayor David McMullen says, “The City of Subiaco is excited to be bringing the international magic of Giants to our corner of WA. I encourage people of all ages to come along on this captivating journey of discovery to find our Giant.”

The free-to-view outdoor exhibition will be on display for at least 12 months.
