Panel discussion for International Women’s Day
The City of Subiaco is celebrating International Women’s Day 2025 with a special author talk and panel discussion,
Women of a Certain Courage.
Join Bron Bateman, editor of
Women of a Certain Courage, in an uplifting panel discussion with three of the book's contributing authors: Annamaria Weldon, Shannon Meyerkort and Natalie Damjanovich-Napoleon.
The event – held at 6pm on Monday 10 March at Subiaco Library – will explore stories of courage from these women and encourage you to reflect on what courage means to you.
Subiaco Library will also have a special display of books for International Women’s Day, showcasing women who changed the world, and there will be a video released on the City’s
Instagram and
LinkedIn.
The City is also hosting some special women’s health events including an
ovarian cancer education session and an empowering
menopause and mental health session.
International Women's Day is on 8 March this year and is themed ‘March Forward’, reminding us that progress is not just about reflection but about taking decisive, bold steps to turn our commitments into action.
In previous years, the City has celebrated International Women’s Day with
special events and exhibits at Subiaco Museum and by
supporting local businesswomen.
