Upgraded clubrooms official open with community event
Come along for an afternoon of family fun as the Daglish Tennis Club celebrates the opening of its newly refurbished clubroom on Sunday 3 November.
The club and City have had a strong working relationship over the past 93 years to provide a treasured local community sporting and social facility, with the City most recently helping to fund the upgrade of the clubroom to include all-abilities toilet and shower.
The event, running from 3pm to 5pm at the club, will kick off with a special welcome by Mayor David McMullen and includes:
-
A tasty sausage sizzle (and participate in the door prize draw just by purchasing a snag).
-
Meeting talented coaches who are ready to help you elevate your skills.
-
Mini tennis for kids for younger guests.
-
An inflatable challenge game to test your skills.
-
Live music from talented club members.
Daglish Tennis Club Club President Frank Morgan encouraged everyone to come along to the opening event.
“The Daglish Tennis Club is a great way to meet and make friends,” he said.
“More families are moving into the area, and our relationship with the City enables us to keep fees affordable, making tennis accessible to everyone.”
If you sign up for membership on the day, you’ll enjoy a 10 per cent discount.
The City works closely with a wide range of sport and recreation providers in the City of Subiaco to ensure there are varied and sustainable options in the area to meet community needs. For more on sport and recreation in the City, head to the
