Refresh your verge and receive up to $500

LPP Watering garden 7648
The City is now offering rebates up to $500 for residents who want to beautify their verge with native plants.

The rebates are part of the City’s Waterwise Verge Rebate Program, which encourages waterwise gardens, and verges that prioritise native Western Australian plants.

Native verges not only use less water and upkeep than a traditional grass verge, but they also create valuable habitats for local wildlife to thrive.

To be eligible for the program, you need to be a resident, business, school, or tenant (with approval from the property owner) within the City of Subiaco.

You will also need to attend a free mandatory verge workshop with gardening experts on Wednesday 30 April or Tuesday 6 May that will cover how to improve your soil with simple techniques, the best ways to add native plants to your garden, tips for weed management and plenty of inspiration.

$500 rebates are available for verges larger than 80m², $250 is available for verges smaller than 80m², and funding is also available for unit blocks at the City’s discretion.

This initiative is proudly co-funded by Water Corporation’s Waterwise Greening Scheme and forms part of our ambition for Subiaco to be a leading waterwise City.
