Rediscover Subiaco Library

Library Reception 5036
More than just books, the Evelyn H Parker Library (Subiaco Library) is a lively hub where you’ll find fun and informative events, can use modern digital tools, enjoy creative spaces, and access helpful services. It’s all designed to support and bring people together across the City’s diverse community.

Open since 1971 and designed by Silver Goldberg, this modern landmark became a beacon of innovation in Subiaco. In 2002, after extensive renovations, the library was rededicated to Evelyn H Parker – Subiaco’s trailblazing former Mayor and the first woman Mayor in Western Australia – cementing its role as a cherished community institution.

Today, the library is a bustling centre of learning, creativity, and community engagement. In 2024, the library’s exterior was beautifully restored. A new external lighting display, refreshed landscaping, and restored white quartz stone walls now enhance its historic charm and contemporary appeal.

Located at 237 Rokeby Road, the library welcomes visitors seven days a week.
