The City is now offering rebates up to $500 for residents who want to beautify their verge with native, waterwise plants.
The rebates are part of the City’s Waterwise Verge Rebate Program, which encourages waterwise gardens, and verges that contribute to local biodiversity by prioritising native Western Australian plants.
To be eligible for the program, you need to be a resident, business, school, or tenant (with approval from the property owner) within the City of Subiaco.
Applications for the program are open from now until Sunday 31 May 2026. The program timeline is scheduled around autumn planting, when cooler temperatures and seasonal rainfall help ensure the successful establishment and survival of new plants.
