Pre-booked bulk green waste collection service starts in September

BulkGreenWaste 9833
A pre-booked bulk green waste collection, which was endorsed by Council at its July Ordinary Council Meeting, will be open for bookings from Monday 8 September, with collections commencing from Friday 26 September.

Each household will be entitled to three pre-booked collections of up to 3 cubic metres (3x1x1) of loose green waste annually. These collections can be booked via the Western Metropolitan Regional Council website, and can be made up to eight weeks in advance.

Loose green waste includes branches, flowers, leaves, weeds, twigs, and grass clippings.

In addition to the pre-booked service, each household will receive one green waste pass per year, which provides free access to the Western Metropolitan Recycling Centre in Shenton Park, where you can dispose of your green waste. Residents can also use their FOGO bin for garden organics, which is collected weekly.

The bulk green waste verge collection currently scheduled for Monday 8 December will be the final set date collection. Once this has been completed, the pre-booked bulk green waste collection service will be the only available option to have your bulk green waste collected outside of your annual green waste pass.

The pre-booked service will be provided by the Western Metropolitan Regional Council. Read FAQs about the service here, and read more about the City's waste services here.
