City of Subiaco residents have donated 6195kg of items, including clothing, shoes, accessories, linen, toys and more, as part of a recent Good Sammy household collection service.
This innovative partnership between the City and Good Sammy commenced in 2023, and helps to promote the benefits of a circular economy by making it easier for residents to divert quality household items from landfill.
This year’s collection, which took place in March, encouraged residents to fill collection bags that were left in letterboxes, that were then collected by Good Sammy.
This year, 802 households participated (up from 577 households in 2025), and 99,903kg of carbon emissions were avoided as a result of the collected donations.
