Women’s health at the forefront
A special women’s health event at Subiaco Library around menopause and mental health was a great success with more than 50 people attending the free session.
The City of Subiaco event was run the day prior to International Women’s Day and explored this natural stage of a woman’s life in an empowering and practical way.
It was facilitated by a clinical psychologist (Kirstin) from All About Her - The Centre for Menopause, and covered perimenopause to post menopause, with tips to help those navigating the journey.
The event was an opportunity to learn, share stories and support each other with confidence and strength during a time of change.
Some comments from attendees included:
- “Thank you for your thorough and informative discussion. I know I need to make more positive changes with regards to my psychological and cognitive symptoms I’m experiencing with my perimenopausal journey.”
- “Thanks for organising events like this. As a CALD woman without extended support I really struggle to navigate the issues I am experiencing related to menopause.”
