Summer saw a huge number of new venues open in the City of Subiaco and the momentum doesn’t seem to be slowing down, despite the pandemic.
Golden West Brewery (pictured) opened the doors to their very first brewery and bar on Hay Street, bringing a family-friendly vibe to the neighbourhood alongside their popular local craft beer.
The unique menu combines Australian and European favourites with south Asian spices, with a result that’s nothing short of delicious.
A stone’s throw away from the new brewery, you’ll find
Fresco Gelato serving up creamy Italian gelato and Insta-worthy desserts that will have you wanting to order one of everything.
And as if Subiaco wasn’t sweet enough,
La Maison des Eclairs is set to open a charming café on Railway Road specialising in, you guessed it, éclairs.
Neighbourhood favourite,
Dilly Dally, has had a makeover with a new bar at the back (access via Rowland Street) and a redesigned main restaurant.
The delicious, comforting Italian fare and friendly service that Dilly Dally has become known for remains but
Bar Loiter offers a more casual atmosphere in which to enjoy the same great food with an extended drinks offering including more cocktails, wine and beer on tap. You can even enjoy your drink with a side of sunshine (or stargazing) thanks to the beautiful sun deck area.
While not strictly new, a couple of well-loved local institutions have recently moved their home to Rokeby Road;
Piccolo Trattoria (previously Shenton Park) has set up at 361 and
Delisio (previously Churchill Avenue) is almost ready to open it's new location at 175 Rokeby next week.
