Contractors will be onsite at Lake Jualbup from Monday 9 March and at Lake Mabel Talbot from Monday 16 March to carry out annual weed management works in preparation for the winter season.
The program will include a combination of weed management techniques and will target exotic species and persistent perennial grass weeds.
Works in the lake beds are scheduled ahead of rising winter water levels. The program will also involve the removal of dead shrubs and invasive plant species to support the ongoing health of the lake environments and biodiversity.
A few rushes will also be planted at Lake Jualbup, in the northern lake bed.
