Subiaco’s entertainment precinct is buzzing!
With the influx of new restaurants, bars and retailers, anyone who’s visited Subiaco lately will feel the buzz of a vibrant business and entertainment district.
A recent insight report conducted by real estate agency, Ray White revealed that the City of Subiaco is enjoying five-year low in retail vacancy rates.
Subiaco Mayor David McMullen said, “The City has been working hard to bring people back into Subiaco and increase the vibrancy of our streets. There's now tangible optimism and opportunity, growing in our City.
“The latest figures on our falling vacancy rates are proof that the whole area is bouncing back; and it’s fantastic to see the shift first hand, with new businesses opening their doors – many drawing attention from the wider Perth community.”
Existing and new businesses are both contributing to the renaissance of the area with local favourite Lulu La Delizia making national headlines recently after being named Gourmet Traveller’s 2023 WA Restaurant of the Year.
Perth hospitality heavyweights – Clint Nolan with La Condesa, Benny Tua and Leigh Power with Shui, and Miles Hull with his newest venture coming to ONE Subiaco – are also helping to drive momentum and vibrancy.
Other recent arrivals include Koba on Rokeby Road – run by the same people behind Northbridge’s well-loved U&I Café – and Lums, a small artisan wine bar that respectfully rejuvenated an old general store, bringing some of that old-world charm to Hay Street that Subiaco is loved for.
