The City of Subiaco is excited to announce it has been selected as a finalist in the National Economic Development Awards 2022, alongside the City of Melbourne and Sunshine Coast Council.
The City has been nominated in the ‘Economic Marketing and Promotion’ category for campaigns and events delivered through its destination marketing brand, See Subiaco, during the COVID-19 pandemic. These include
Subi Blooms,
Sustainable Style Series and
Subiaco Eat, Drink, Live magazine.
Mayor David McMullen said: “The City of Subiaco always works hard to support local business through increased visitation and vibrancy, and it’s great that recent innovative and high impact campaigns have been recognised at a national level.
“These campaigns and events were designed and curated to minimise the impact of the pandemic and associated restrictions on businesses and visitors, while maximising impact.
“Being nominated for this prestigious award provides recognition of this hard work and innovative approach on the national stage.
“We’re up against some stiff competition but no matter the outcome, I’m exceptionally proud of the work that the City undertook to support our business community and local economy during the pandemic.”
The finalists were chosen based on creative marketing strategies and campaigns that use innovative content development tactics. The finalists are being judged on the effectiveness of the methods and approach adopted for their campaigns.
The winner will be announced on 13 October at an Awards Gala during the National Economic Development Conference 2022 at Luna Park in Sydney. The Mayor or designate will represent the City of Subiaco at this event.
