Subi Blooms x Gather has been recognised on the state stage, receiving silver in the Festivals and Events category at the 2025 Qantas Australian Tourism Awards.
The floral festival brought more than 37,000 visitors to Subiaco across Mother’s Day weekend in May 2025, transforming the town centre into a colourful showcase of large-scale floral artistry.
The event featured 15 striking installations displayed throughout Subiaco, alongside a program of workshops, community activities and a month-long art installation that encouraged visitors to explore the City. It also marked the first year the City partnered with Gather – Floral Community to deliver the event, as well as the introduction of a unifying theme, ‘Roots to Bloom’.
City of Subiaco Mayor David McMullen said the recognition reflects the growing reputation of Subi Blooms as a standout event on Western Australia’s cultural calendar.
“Subi Blooms has quickly become one of the most anticipated events in Subiaco, drawing thousands of visitors into the City to enjoy the colour, creativity and strong sense of community the festival creates,” Mayor McMullen said.
“Receiving silver at the Qantas Australian Tourism Awards is fantastic recognition for everyone involved – from the talented florists and artists to the City’s See Subiaco team and our partners at Gather who helped bring the event to life.”
