Subi Blooms x Gather 2025 took out the top gong in the Festivals and Events category at the 2025 Perth Airport Western Australian Tourism Awards on Saturday night.
The flagship flower festival attracted more than 37,000 visitors to Subiaco across Mother’s Day weekend in May, and featured 15 large-scale floral installations alongside workshops, a month-long art installation, and community activities.
2025 was the first year that the City partnered with Gather – A Floral Community to deliver this annual event. It was also the first year that a theme was incorporated in the floral installations: ‘Roots to bloom’.
Mayor David McMullen said the award was a well-deserved accolade for this vibrant annual event.
“Subi Blooms is the largest celebration of floral artistry in the state – and in 2025, the Subi Blooms x Gather event reached new heights of creativity, culture, and community.
“This win is worthy recognition for the City and for the See Subiaco team who do a fantastic job in promoting and activating our town centre through vibrant destination events like Subi Blooms – which will return in 2026 and shows no sign of slowing in popularity for our City.”
The City of Subiaco also took home the silver award for Excellence in Local Government Tourism on the night.
Planning is already underway for Subi Blooms 2026, with Expressions of Interest now open for florists and event partners looking to get involved in next year’s event. If interested, please contact gather@foxandrabbit.com.au for more.
