Spring into school holidays in Subi

The spring school holidays are set to be full of fun events in Subi!

From LEGO fun to an interactive animal session, check out highlights of what's coming up at Subiaco Library, Subiaco Museum and Lords Recreation Centre. 
 
  • Lords School Holiday Program, daily from Tuesday 30 September to Friday 10 October (excluding weekends and public holidays), 8.30am to 3pm, Lords Recreation Centre. Enrol your kids into fun activities including sports days, cooking programs, sports trivia, crafting, Bricks4Kidz LEGO workshops, and more at Lords. Read more and enrol here.
  • Lords Teen Holiday Hangout Program, various dates from Tuesday 30 September to Thursday 9 October, 8.30am to 3pm, Lords Recreation Centre. Perfect for teens aged 12 to 15, this program offers action, variety and teamwork. Run by Lords team leaders, teens will play soccer, basketball, squash and fun skill-based activities.   • Mini Greenhouses & Stories with Narelle Wynter, Tuesday 29 September, 10am to 11am and 11.30am to 12.30pm, Subiaco Library. Join author Narelle Wynter, author of 'I'd Rather Eat Chocolate' to learn how to make your own mini greenhouse. Sessions are both for kids aged six and up.
  • Intergenerational Storytime - Potion Commotion Book Celebration, Friday 3 October, 10.30am to 12.30pm, Rankin Gardens. Bring the whole family for this special outdoor storytime, where Author Rebecca Grant will read her new book 'Potion Commotion'. There will also be puppets, giant games and songs, as well as sensory tubs for nature potion making and mixing. Book here.
  • LEGO Legend Builds, Saturday 4 October, 10.30am to 1pm, Shenton Park Community Centre. Get in quick with your team of two (one adult and one child) to construct a massive LEGO build for the chance to win a prize! Bookings essential
  • Meet the Animals interactive experience, Monday 6 October, 4pm to 5.15pm, Subiaco Library. Meet zookeepers Mike and Rhonda who will be bringing along Australian native animals. Book here.
  • Book Safes for Minifigures, Tuesday 7 October, 10am to 11am, Subiaco Library. Learn how to create a space fit for your LEGO minifigures to live in. Book here.
  • How Stuff Works with Subiaco Museum, Thursday 9 October, 10am to 11am, Subiaco Museum. Explore historical objects and learn from the museum team about how these objects work. Book here, suitable for kids aged eight and up. 
  • LEGO Creations, Thursday 9 October, 1pm to 3pm, Subiaco Library. Join the library team for a creative LEGO build session, and help create LEGO-themed book nooks that will go on display. Book here, for kids aged five and up.
