School holiday fun
The City of Subiaco has a host of activities to keep the whole family busy these April school holidays.
We’ve highlighted a few activities below but to see the full holiday events program, head to the
events calendar and get planning!
For the art lovers
Join a family-friendly
street art tour with Oh Hey WA, supported by the City, to spot colourful murals across Subi at a special holiday price. Kids under 4 are free, under 18s are $15 and adults are only $20 (normally $50).
Pastels and Pencils in the Park will be taking over Rankin Gardens on Thursday 24 April. Use pastel and pencils to create the scene around you focussing on the plants, observing people or painting the whole landscape. Parents and guardians are welcome to participate.
Subiaco Library will also have a whole host of other art-based activities for the kids including an
art workshop with Dana Garlett and a creative session called
Colour Experiments.
For the sports enthusiasts
Between Monday 14 April to Thursday 24 April, Lords will be running their popular
school holiday program.
Each day offers a new adventure from hands-on cooking challenges and friendly competitions to unwinding with yoga and an epic Easter hunt.
Kids can explore the world of science, join a disco party, and get involved in the action-packed Lords Sports Carnival.
With a mix of sports, creativity, problem-solving, and teamwork, there’s something for every child to enjoy.
For the gamers
If you think you’ve got what it takes to take home the Mario Kart super crown, then come along to a special tournament. Go head-to-head with other local gamers and have a fun-filled time. There’s a session for those ages
7 to 10 years and another for
11- to 17-year-olds. Spots are limited!
If you like a game that’s a bit less supercharged, join
LEGO club on Thursday 24 April. This all-ages session is an opportunity to stretch your imagination and build whatever you want.
