Works are underway for the upgraded playground at Mueller Park, which is set to include a range of fun new play equipment and other facilities for the community to enjoy.
The preferred playground concept, designed by Nature Play Solutions, was voted on by 60 community members via the City's online engagement portal, Have Your Say Subiaco.
As part of the upgrades, kids can look forward to:
A flying fox (the first one in Subiaco)
A ship stern cubby
Balance challenges with ropes, ladders and benches
A swing and flexi seat
A fairy garden
Talking tubes
Water play pump
There will also be new barbeques, a water fountain, and a new shade sail (with the existing three shade sails cleaned and retained). All picnic furniture at the playground will also be refurbished and reinstalled.
The finished playground is set to be unveiled in November 2025, just in time for summer.
