Subiaco’s latest Subi Greenwalks upgrade is underway, with early works commenced and main construction set to begin in mid-April 2026.
Subi Greenwalks is aimed at improving walkability, enhancing amenity, and supporting local economic activity through better connected laneways and public spaces across the Subiaco town centre.
The project will include removal of existing damaged asphalt, resurfacing with red brick paving and cobblestone banding, new planting with irrigation, and festoon lighting installed along the length of the laneway. The iconic mural “Subiaco was Built on a Sunday” by Melski McVee will be retained and celebrated as part of the works.
Works have been carefully staged to minimise disruption and coordinate with nearby activity, including the Rowland Street Car Park upgrades and the Subi Blooms festival program.
