In 2022, the City completed a range of upgrades to parks and reserves, and even welcomed a beautiful wooden Giant.
If it's been a while since you explored Subi's great outdoors, here are some highlights to check out this summer:
- Thomas Dambo's beautiful wooden Giant, Bille Bob, in one of Subiaco's parks. Don't forget to download your own Giants Traveller's Companion for clues on how to find it...
- Check out the upgrades to Rosalie Park that were made in April 2022. The new mixed-use space is perfect for basketball, cricket, tennis, netball and even ping pong! There's also a community garden where you can pick and plant fresh produce.
- Enjoy an outdoor barbeque at Market Square Park - this year, the City replaced four shelters, installed a new accessible double barbeque, and replaced lighting.
- Take a stroll through Mabel Talbot Park, and look out over the lake from two new viewing decks.
- Wander through Subiaco Common and try to spot local wildlife on the floating islands in the centre of the lake. There's a busy dog park here too, so don't forget to bring your four-legged friend!
There are also plenty of playgrounds that the kids will love, including Theatre Gardens’ nature play space, Lake Jualbup’s climbing playground, and Subiaco Common’s playground complete with a stream and stepping stones.
