EV charging in the City a step closer

EV charger
Access to electric vehicle (EV) chargers in the City of Subiaco is a step closer after Council approved fees for EV charging at its Ordinary Council Meeting last night.

There are seven EV chargers spread across two charging stations within the City; one on Rowland Street (two 7.4kW chargers), and one at Lords Recreation Centre (five 22kW chargers).

Council have endorsed a fee of $0.45 per kWh at both stations, with a penalty of $1 per minute applied to EVs charging beyond the allocated time, with a 15-minute grace period allowed.

These fees and charges were developed following consultation with State Government and other local government authorities.

Charging at both stations will be restricted to a three-hour limit, and EVs charging at Rowland Street will be required to purchase paid parking in the same manner as the rest of the car station.

Stay tuned on the City’s website and Facebook page for updates on when the stations will be available for public use.
