From today, Western Australians aged 50 and over can get vaccinated against COVID-19 at three state-run community vaccination clinics, including one at Claremont Showgrounds.
The clinics are open between 8.30am and 3.30pm, seven days a week but bookings are essential – they can be made by calling 13 COVID (13 268 43).
AstraZeneca remains the recommended vaccine for those aged 50 and over with Pfizer for those aged under 50. All community vaccination clinics will be delivering the AstraZeneca vaccine.
Select GP clinics will also be rolling out the vaccine from Monday 17 May.
The other metropolitan community clinics are located at Kwinana Supa Centre and near Perth Airport at 2 George Wiencke Drive; a fourth clinic is scheduled to open later this month in Joondalup.
Premier Mark McGowan said that the more people who get vaccinated, the more we protect our families, friends and community.
