The City of Subiaco is proud to support Plastic Free July, and is committed to encouraging its community to reduce their use of single-use plastics, and increase recycling, during July 2025 and beyond.
To support Plastic Free July 2025, the City and the Western Metropolitan Regional Council (WMRC) are teaming up to host a free workshop where participants can bring along a jar, and learn how to make their own coffee scrub and cleanser.
WMRC’s Waste Education Officer will give a short talk about reducing plastic use and adopting sustainable practices at the start of the session, and a low-waste morning tea will be provided.
Tickets are $5, and the event takes place from 10am to 11.30am on Saturday 5 July at Subiaco Library. Bookings are essential.
