City of Subiaco lights up this Christmas

This holiday season, the City of Subiaco is lighting up with the return of the Subiaco Twilight Trail, bringing an enchanting array of Christmas lights, festive fun, and seasonal cheer.

From Thursday 21 November, Subiaco’s streets will glow with eight spectacular light installations – and for the first time, augmented reality (AR) will bring an extra layer of magic to the experience.

As the sun sets, stroll through Subiaco’s charming streets discovering larger-than-life light displays from a towering golden tree to a glittering gingerbread train.

New this year, the Twinkling Treasure Hunt adds an interactive twist to the twilight trail. Simply scan the QR codes at each trail stop to unlock AR surprises that bring the light installations to life in a whole new way and complete the hunt to earn special rewards.

Subiaco's Christmas Cocktail Trail is back by popular demand. From Sunday 1 December, embark on a self-guided adventure through local bars and eateries for exclusive Christmas-inspired cocktails. It’s the ultimate way to celebrate with friends and family while supporting local businesses.

The City’s iconic sunset@subi concerts are also back this season, kicking off on Sunday 22 December at Lake Jualbup with a special Christmas edition. Enjoy an evening of Christmas carols and swing jazz alongside a picnic with friends and family. Santa himself will also be making a special appearance.

Subiaco Library will be running daily drop-in Christmas activities for the kids from 10am to 2pm on Tuesday 17 and Wednesday 18 December. There will be cards, colouring-in activities, crafts
and more for the whole family to enjoy together.

Post your letters to Santa at Subiaco Library from Monday 25 November. Kids can collect a response via Subiaco Library straight from the North Pole every Tuesday. Don’t forget to include your wish list and ask Santa any questions you’d like!

And if you’re looking for a unique gift for family or friends, don’t miss the Pre Loved Market on Sunday 8 December from 11am to 3pm on Seddon Street which will be a veritable treasure trove of sustainable fashion, rare vintage finds, handmade jewellery and pop-ups from local stores.

Every Saturday evening from 5pm, Subi Night Market will have a mix of artisan crafts, gourmet food, and seasonal treats in Market Square Park. With fairy lights and surprise festive performances, it’s the ultimate spot for a relaxed evening of holiday cheer.

Subiaco is the perfect place to make this Christmas extra special this year. Whether you’re strolling through the twinkling light installations, sipping festive cocktails, or shopping for vintage gems, the season of joy and light is here, and Subiaco is the place to experience it.
