City named finalist in state-wide tourism awards
The City of Subiaco has been named as a finalist in the prestigious 2025 Perth Airport WA Tourism Awards for Business Excellence.
The recognition highlights the City’s commitment to growing Subiaco as a thriving tourism destination through major events, creative partnerships, and cultural initiatives.
Flagship festivals such as Subi Blooms x Gather, which in 2025 attracted more than 37,000 visitors across Mother’s Day weekend, showcase the City’s ability to create experiences that draw people from near and far.
The City has also invested in building a year-round tourism offering, from the weekly Subi Night Market and WA Comedy Week, to unique experiences like Le Dîner en Blanc, Classic Cars and Coffee, and the No More Blank Walls Subi street art festival. Together, these events and activations position Subiaco as a vibrant cultural hub.
Mayor David McMullen said, “The City’s investment in diverse, creative community events like Subi Blooms, No More Blank Walls Subi, and many more, exemplify our commitment to making our City a destination of choice for people of all ages and from all backgrounds. Being named a finalist is worthy recognition of the City and See Subiaco’s efforts to draw year-round visitors to explore our new cultural hubs, and make the most of what we have to offer.”
Winners will be announced at a ceremony held in early November.
