City events to support Mental Health Week

Farmers Market
The City is encouraging our community to get involved in activities and events to support mental health and wellbeing during WA Mental Health Week from 4 to 11 October.

The week provides a great opportunity to address and highlight the importance of improving mental health and wellbeing in our community.

Here are some free events the City is hosting and supporting for Mental Health Week 2025.

Healing Piece by Piece: Mosaic Art for Mental Wellness, Wednesday 8 October, 12.30pm to 2.30pm, Tom Dadour Community Centre.

The City is proudly sponsoring this event hosted by the Subiaco Women’s Shed, which will celebrate creativity, connection, and healing. Step away from the business of everyday life and enjoy a few hours of relaxing mosaics. Afternoon tea is provided, and bookings are essential.  

Dementia Series: Exploring Respite, Friday 10 October, 10am to 12pm, Subiaco Library.

Dementia Australia facilitators are delivering this session about navigating respire with clarity, confidence, and care, to encourage informed and proactive decisions for you and your loved ones. This session is suitable for people caring with someone living with dementia, and bookings are essential.

Mental Health Week at Subi Farmers Market, Saturday 11 October, 8am to 12pm, Subi Farmers Market.

Deserving Better WA, supported by the City of Subiaco’s Community Development Grant program, will be bringing art supplies, balloons, and origami for the community to come together and get creative. Read more here.
