Celebrate Bike Month in the City
WA Bike Month is back this October, and the City is getting involved with a series of fun events and giveaways encouraging our community to hop on their bikes.
Starting on Saturday 4 October, and running for four weeks, the WOW (Women on Wheels) Learn to Ride Program, facilitated by WestCycle, covers all the essentials you’ll need to ride with confidence.
These interactive sessions, taking place from 8.30am to 10am at the Rosalie Park Mixed Use Courts, will teach participants about bike skills, traffic awareness, and basic bike maintenance. Bring your own bike, helmet and water bottle,
bookings essential.
Back by popular demand, the annual
Ride to Market event at Subi Farmers Market will take place on Saturday 4 October, offering $10 market vouchers to the first 100 people who ride their bikes to the market, which opens at 8am. Plus, MoBike Bike Mechanic will be offering free 15-minute bike checks, and there will be raffle prizes and plenty of bike safety resources available.
There will also be some surprise pop-up coffee vouchers for the cycling community at Community Coffee Co during Bike Month...stay tuned for more on this on our
Facebook page.
