Subiaco has experienced a bridal boom with the official opening of JULIET studio on Rokeby Road in May 2025. This new boutique for “the modern bride” joins the total of five beloved bridal shops scattered throughout the suburb.
When looking for leases, JULIET owner Brittany Mason knew Subiaco would be the perfect fit.
“I have always loved Subi and have shopped there since I was young. It is so vibrant at the moment, so it was my number one pick when I was looking for a space. The night life is also getting so busy – it ticked all the boxes,” Brittany said.
“The response has been great, and being centrally located helps. As well as being on Rokeby Road, I get high exposure all day long.”
Just down the road on Hay Street, Dion for Brides relocated their popular boutique to Subiaco from North Perth in July 2024, and now welcomes soon-to-be brides to its spacious, luxe showroom to browse its stunning, sophisticated designs.
Archela Bridal also made the move from North Perth to Subiaco, in October 2024, and offer a range of bridal gowns from top Australian and international designers.
Envious Bridal, located in Subiaco Village on Hay Street, offer custom-made bridal services for brides and bridesmaids, and Zolotas Bridal, also on Hay Street, offer a European flair with their range of hand-made bridal dresses, direct from Greece. This mother-and-daughter business chose to set up shop in Subiaco in 2016 because of its “village feel, leafy streets and collection of independent shops”.
Mayor David McMullen said it was great to see so many bridal stores choosing to call Subiaco home.
“It’s clear that Subiaco offers fantastic foot traffic and vibrancy for new, relocating, and long-standing retailers who have their own identity and want a location with character, to match - outside of the large suburban shopping malls and beyond the Perth CBD.
“Our unique combination of retailers, services, bars and eateries makes a visit to Subi an experience in itself – which may explain why three new bridal boutiques over the past 12 months have decided Subi was the place for them.”
