April school holidays are packed with fun in Subi

The April school holidays are shaping up to be full of fun in Subi, with a great mix of free and low-cost activities for kids, teens and young people.

From a colourful street art walking tour to Youth Week laser tag and an outdoor movie night, plus Subiaco Library’s popular book clubs, there’s plenty happening across the holidays. Check out what’s on below!

Lords School Holiday Program, daily from Monday 6 April 2026 - Friday 17 April 2026 (excluding weekends and public holidays) from 8.30am to 3pm, with an option for late pick up from 3pm to 5pm from Lords Recreation Centre. Subi School Holiday Street Art Walking Tour, Tuesday 7 April, 10am to 11am, Postal Walk
Get ready for an adventure through Subi’s colourful laneways with a guided walking tour exploring some of the area’s vibrant murals. Hosted by Oh Hey WA, the tour will uncover the stories behind the artworks and the artists who brought them to life, including pieces created as part of the No More Blank Walls Subi Street Art Festival. Read more and book here.

LEGO Creations, Tuesday 7 April, 10am to 11am, Subiaco Library
Kids aged 6 and over can get building at this fun free LEGO session at Subiaco Library. Whether they’re creating something imaginative or bringing a big idea to life brick by brick, it’s a great way to get creative during the school holidays. Tickets are required for all participating children, and parent or guardian supervision is required at all times. Read more and book here.

Youth Week Outdoor Movie Night, Saturday 11 April, from 6pm, Market Square Park
Round up your friends and family for a fun-filled evening under the stars. In celebration of Youth Week, this free outdoor movie night will feature a School of Rock performance, giant lawn games, arts and crafts, plus a sunset screening of Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most WantedRead more here.

Book Adventurers, Tuesday 14 April, 3.30pm to 4.15pm, Subiaco Library
Perfect for young readers aged 6 to 8, Book Adventurers is a fun monthly book club filled with lively discussion, games and activities inspired by the featured book. Run by the library’s Youth Services team in partnership with Dymocks Subiaco, the session also includes afternoon tea. No bookings necessary. Read more here.

Youth Week 2026 Laser Tag Session 1 (12 to 15 years), Friday 17 April, 6pm to 7.30pm, Subiaco Library
Young people aged 12 to 15 can test their skills in an action-packed laser tag session at Subiaco Library. Expect friendly competition, fast-paced fun and light snacks provided. Bookings essential. Read more and book here.

Youth Week 2026 Laser Tag Session 2 (16 to 25 years), Friday 17 April, 8pm to 9.30pm, Subiaco Library
