Aerators to improve water quality at Mabel Talbot lake
Two new paddle aerators are being installed at Mabel Talbot lake, with the aim to improve the quality of water at the lake.
These aerators are similar to the ones which were
recently installed at Lake Jualbup, and operate by simultaneously introducing and distributing oxygen across a large surface area of water.
The aerators sit on the water's surface, and their installation follows recent
sediment removal works at the lake, which were carried out to allow water to flow more efficiently through the lake system
The City remains committed to maintaining and enhancing our natural spaces, and the aerators at both lakes are crucial steps in ensuring these spaces continue to thrive for generations to come.
The aerators at Mabel Talbot will be operational soon.
