5000kg of donations in recent Good Sammy collection
City of Subiaco residents have avoided almost 43 tonnes of carbon emissions in a recent household collection of pre-loved clothing and accessories carried out by Good Sammy.
This innovative partnership between the City and Good Sammy commenced in 2023, and helps to promote the benefits of a circular economy by making it easier for residents to divert quality household items from landfill.
This collection, which took place from Monday 17 March to Monday 31 March 2025, allowed residents to fill collection bags that were left in letterboxes, and then place the bags out for collection by Good Sammy.
577 households participated in this round of collections, with a total of 5000kg of donations collected. Donations included quality pre-loved items including clothing, shoes, handbags, bed linen, kitchenware and toys.
