50 new trees to be planted in City parks and reserves

Trees (2)

Funding from the WA Tree Recovery Grant will pay for 50 new trees in parks and reserves across Subiaco – which will mean three trees will be planted for every tree that was lost to polyphagous shot-hole borer (PSHB).

This ‘three-for-one’ replacement ratio is part of the grant program, and will enable the City to recover tree canopy that has been impacted by PSHB.

Residents impacted by PSHB can apply for rebates of up to $150 per tree removed due to the borer via the Service WA app.

The WA Tree Recovery team will be visiting Subiaco Library on Wednesday 25 March from 10am to 1pm to answer any questions you may have about the application process, or about whether you quality for the rebate.
