New City service for verge tree plantings
City of Subiaco residents can now submit a request, if they have space on the verge adjacent to their property, for an additional native tree to be planted.
Trees available through this program have been carefully selected to suit local conditions and support a greener, healthier city. Species have been chosen based on a range of factors including:
Climate resilience
Biodiversity benefits
Resistance to Polyphagous Shot-Hole Borer (PSHB)
Suitability for local growing conditions.
By planting the right tree in the right place, we can help expand the City's urban canopy, enhance neighbourhood amenity, support local wildlife, and contribute to the long-term sustainability of our urban forest.
