Subiaco's wellness community thrives this winter
From fitness and movement classes to counselling, meditation, and holistic health services, Subiaco is continuing to grow as a destination for wellbeing – and this winter, See Subiaco is inviting people to discover what's on offer through ‘The Wellness Edit: Subi’.
The campaign showcases a range of exclusive offers from local businesses, encouraging residents and visitors to support local while prioritising their physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing during the cooler months.
Among the businesses taking part is NeuroWell Hub, a new business on York Street that offers an integrated practice, with services including immersive VR technology, psychology, and movement, focused on nervous system regulation.
Chief Executive Officer Edna Addai said wellness, to her, is about helping people move between stress and recovery in a healthy, sustainable way.
"Wellness is about how regulated your nervous system is and how well your body and mind can move between stress and recovery," she said.
Edna said Subiaco's strong sense of community has made it the ideal place for wellness-focused businesses to flourish.
"Subiaco has a particular energy. It's a community that values depth, intention, and quality. The people who live and work here want something that actually works, and I think that has naturally attracted businesses and practitioners who share that philosophy."
Just up the road on Rokeby, Oceanic Wellbeing is another local business helping to build Subiaco's wellness offering, providing holistic mental health support for individuals, families and workplaces.
Founder and Director Geraldine said the suburb's collaborative, community-focused atmosphere has helped wellness businesses flourish.
"We've noticed more businesses offering various aspects of wellbeing popping up around us," she said.
"We love to see Subiaco become known as a place where people can genuinely access support for their mental and emotional wellbeing, and we're proud to be contributing to that."
Whether you're looking to recharge, reconnect, or simply try something new, The Wellness Edit: Subi is an invitation to support local businesses and experience why Subiaco is becoming one of Perth's leading wellness destinations.
See Subiaco is a City of Subiaco initiative.
